Graphic Designer

Job description

Circle Economy's Design team is looking for a strong, multi-talented designer who wants to have a positive impact on the world. Are you the one?

Who we are:

We're an international team working on accelerating the adoption of the circular economy, and we’re scaling up. We use design to map, illustrate, and translate complex ideas and data flows into clean, simple, and beautiful visuals that support the company’s mission.

Designers here play a direct role in both improving the understanding of the issues we tackle and increasing the impact we have around the world. We also contribute to researching our audiences' needs and to strengthening our brand.

What we need you for:

Our work takes us to diverse places, as we work with businesses, cities and national governments. As our sixth designer, you will report to and work closely with the Head of Design to achieve the following:

- Graphic design (70%): manage projects you’re assigned to, understand customer needs and create deliverables such as data-driven infographics, print layouts, communication and brand materials;

- Visual design (15%): assist with product design work by supporting other designers in building and consolidating our digital products' look and feel;

- Design advocacy (15%): support and educate the broader team with your expertise in creating engaging experiences and facilitating concept development.

The perks of working with us:

- We're a young social enterprise with a strong mission and a great team spirit;

- We value impact, authenticity, collaboration and exploration;

- We foster a fast-paced, but fun and safe environment.

Who you are

You’ve spent 2+ years being sort of amazing in agencies, in-house, or freelancing. You can design for print and digital, and you're curious about the people you design for. You’re fluent in English and in the usual tools of the trade.

Some qualities we need to see in you:

  • A conceptual and curious creative;
  • A strong team player, self-started and empathic;
  • The ability to juggle projects calmly and optimistically;
  • Adaptability in a fast-changing and complex environment.

Great if you have experience or an interest in these, and no worries if you don’t:

  • Sustainability;
  • Motion design;
  • Editing or video production;
  • Photography;
  • Dutch fluency.

What you’ll get

This is a full-time role (40h per week) on-site, with a possibility for hybrid working. We offer a good challenge for a passionate designer and a competitive salary, keeping in mind we’re a social enterprise. You’ll need an EU work authorization to get this job. You can start asap.
