Full Time (6 months) paid Graphic Design Internship In Amsterdam


Circle Economy is looking for a purpose-driven, lovable and passionate Graphic Design Intern who wants to help make the world a better place!


Who we are:

We use design to map, illustrate and translate complex ideas and data flows into clean, simple and kick-ass visuals. Designers here play a direct role in both improving the understanding of the issues we tackle and increasing the impact we have around the world. We also contribute to building the company’s brand through our values and strategic input.

Circle Economy is a rapidly growing international social enterprise, supporting cities and businesses in developing practical and scalable solutions to accelerate the transition to the circular economy. We conduct trailblazing research on topics such as climate change, circular jobs creation and societal impact. Through dedicated programmes, scans, digital tools and workshops we share our knowledge to accelerate a circular change. Partnering on projects in many sectors like agrifood, mobility, construction, healthcare, insurance, and waste.

We’re a young team of driven and ambitious professionals. We work in a lively and dynamic atmosphere in our office at the Tropenmuseum in Amsterdam. We like to have fun while we work and have a culture of getting things done.

What will be expected of you:

  • Providing design services to the team on a wide range of projects and platforms (infographics, layouts, reports, presentations, social media...)

  • Following deadlines, deliverables consistency, branding guidelines, workflows

  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • Creating original designs to support our brand

Depending on your skills and choices, your responsibilities may include:

  • Boiling down complex data into powerful info graphics and data visualizations

  • Contributing to setting up and maintaining templates and style sheets

  • Supporting video/photography production

  • Supporting UI design


Who you are:


A multi-talented and highly adaptable designer who is looking for a fun and versatile internship. Your portfolio combined with your awesome personality matter more than your educational background! 


Desired skills:

  • Expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite, digital and print design

  • Great communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus, but not necessary)

  • The ability to adhere to deadlines and work within constraints

  • The ability to think outside the box to offer new solutions

  • Being proactive and autonomous

You’ll be embedded into our charismatic in-house Design team of three. We offer a challenge for a passionate person that loves to learn and take up responsibilities in a demanding but dynamic environment. We will coach you to put your skills and ideas to work.

We care about our interns, and we want you to learn and grow during your time with us. Right at the start we will discuss where your interests lie and how we can support those interests within our course of events. As a bonus (and depending on the availability of our current interns) you will embark on a cool journey to do a project together with interns from different business units.
