Circle Economy is looking for an enthusiastic intern who wants to apply his/her affinity with data analysis, coding and sustainability/circularity. You are a detail-oriented individual who has proven Python coding skills and is keen to help us develop the environmental assessment methodologies we employ into robust, replicable and script-based models.
Insight is the new gold and data is the ores from where to extract it. The mission of our program is to distill insights that provide evidence for and boost the transition to a circular economy. The macroeconomic and environmental data landscape is vast, fragmented and in continuous expansion. Navigating it is not an easy endeavor. Circle Economy is a data-driven company and the Insights program is where most of the data magic happens. We couple daily work with state-of-the-art databases together with constant search for new and more insightful datasets across the internet. We manipulate and integrate the data through a set of methodologies to answer the questions of our clients and guide their effort to become more circular and, ultimately, more sustainable. Are you up for this challenge?
You will be working closely with an analyst from the CGRi Programme team to further develop the methods behind the Circularity Gap Report analysis and/or to translate them into streamlined and replicable python scripts. These methods span from Material Flow Analysis (MFA) to Input-Output Analysis (IOA) to Sankey Diagrams generation (visualization tools).
